Inspiring Story of Overcoming a Very Real Addiction

All her life, Andie Mitchell had eaten lustily and mindlessly. Food was her babysitter, her best friend, her confidant, and it provided a refuge from her fractured family. But when she stepped on the scale on her twentieth birthday and it registered a shocking 268 pounds, she knew she had to change the way she thought about food and herself; that her life was at stake.
This book really hit close to home for me. I could really empathasize with her because personally, I have struggled with my weight since I was younger. Her description of hiding food, and lying about what she has eaten is something I can definately understand. Overcoming and breaking the cycle of overeating, and binging an extremely difficult and the determination to live a healthy lifestyle is hard work! I liked this book, as I felt she wrote about my own life. It makes any reader who has ever struggled with their weight acknowledges the pain, and the hindrance of it. I received this book in exchange for my honest, and unbiased opinion from Blogging For Books. www.bloggingforbooks.com
